The tool itself is found all over Africa, but the real proof is in the hieroglyphic text next to it. The Egyptian verb for pounding grain is zḥm. In Afroasiatic linguistics, that exact triliteral root tracks perfectly into Tigrinya (ዘ-ሐ-መ / z-ḥ-m), preserving the precise ancient pharyngeal "ḥ" sound. Somali uses completely different roots for pounding (tum). The linguistics literally point north of Somalia!
