MOG did an experiment. Old engine oil formula (SM) with higher calcium levels failed at 5 weights on one of these testers, but performed badly when measuring wear on cam lobes with a micrometer. The new (SP) with lower calcium from the same oil brand failed at only 3 weights on one of these testers but showed a big improvement when measuring wear on a cam lobe with a micrometer. Your testing method would say that the SP Castrol GTX is actually WORSE than the SM Castrol GTX. But using an actual engine, with actual engine parts, it is far superior in terms of wear. This is false advertising :)
