In all seriousness, the Great Salt Lake is pretty cool and it hosts important ecosystems that need to be protected from the bad decisions constantly being made by @utahgovofficial who have consistently attacked public lands to exploit its beautiful and important landscapes for profit. Such was the case when they greenlit a project by Canada’s very own Lex Luthor, @Mr. Wonderful, to build an AI data center twice the size of Manhattan (that’s Manhattan, New York, not Manhattan, Kansas). After significant public backlash, Mr. WonderWhereHisDickWent *graciously* downscaled the project to be only the size of Manhattan. The size of fucking MANHATTAN. Mr. Wonderful? More like Mr. bald, fat, and stupid. The Great Salt Lake might not be sinking many ships, but Utah’s very livability for both its native wildlife and its people will be a sinking ship if they don’t stop electing morons like senator Mike Lee. Already Mojave-like climatic conditions have expanded to Salt Lake City, which is notably higher in altitude and latitude than the Mojave proper.
