Why was that so satisfying? Tent link: https://geni.us/octatent-1994 I don’t think I’ve ever set up a tent that felt so satisfying – popping out the side panels and roof was so much fun 😂 #sponsored And now, the big question… was I able to set it up in a minute? I’m not including setting up the poles or opening the panels, just getting the main tent up. The first time I didn’t read the instructions so I had no idea what I was doing and it came to about 7 minutes. The second time was a lot faster at two minutes. I have no doubt that with a little more practice I could get it down to one minute. Even if I didn’t, two minutes is super fast! A few things that really stood out to me on this tent were: 1️⃣ How fast it is to set up… and satisfying. A few pops and it’s up! 2️⃣ How big it is. There were only two of us (and a dog), but we could easily fit at least eight people comfortably in it (and probably more)! 3️⃣ All of the panels and doors are zippered (not Velcro). Big fan of this because twigs and grass won’t get stuck in it while camping. Plus, and maybe this is just me, but I hate the sound of Velcro. 4️⃣ It’s waterproof and feels good quality. I’m always a little hesitant about ordering things off Amazon from new brands, but I’m actually very impressed with this tent. Octatent is from South Korea and they focus on creative solutions for outdoor gear – it’s obvious they put great care into their designs! It’ll be super nice in the spring to use this tent when we’re inevitably camping in the rain. 5️⃣ Nice and breezy! All of the panels open which creates a wonderful breeze through the tent. You’re not gonna get stuffy in it! 6️⃣ Easy to set up solo! I’ve always shied away from big tents like this because they’re basically impossible to set up by yourself, but not this one. Easy peasy! And that, my friends, is why it’s good to do practice set-ups on new gear! You learn all the ins and outs before actually putting it to use. I actually would have been totally fine to bring this tent out camping without practicing first since it has everything you’d need in the box (including ropes and tent pegs), but you never know!
