They wouldn’t be selling it at all. They’ll be using it to do exactly what it does: print money. They’ll just get investors to invest even more money into it so that they can leverage it with other people’s money and give them a return on their investment. That’s what hedge funds do.

I agree with the first part. Be skeptical of anyone selling a “guaranteed money making” bot. But saying they’d just sell it to JPMorgan isn’t really how it works. Firms like JPMorgan, Jane Street, Citadel, etc. already employ teams of quants and developers building proprietary systems. A profitable algo is valuable IP. The owner might trade it, raise capital, or license it rather than just sell it to a bank.
