@ultimatestudiosofficial: The biggest question coming out of D23 2026 might not be about Doctor Doom or the X-Men cast reveal. It might be about Hugh Jackman. During the Marvel Studios presentation on August 14, a surprise video played featuring Jackman and Ryan Reynolds in a humorous bit where they competed for a spot in Avengers Doomsday. Reynolds who appeared in his full Deadpool costume at the Doomsday panel at San Diego Comic Con last month was seen in the video seemingly directing Jackman to call Kevin Feige and ask if any additional help was needed for the movie. While Marvel played it as comedy the internet immediately exploded with speculation that both Wolverine and Deadpool are secretly in the film. Neither name has been officially added to the confirmed cast list and earlier this year Cyclops actor James Marsden hinted in an interview that Jackman was not present during filming saying he was missed on set. But Jackman himself has been purposefully dodging the question for months. On The Graham Norton Show he refused to give a straight answer when asked directly about Doomsday. In another interview he simply smiled and said you will have to wait and see. Industry insider Daniel Richtman has claimed that Jackman is set to play a major role not just in Doomsday but also in Avengers Secret Wars alongside Reynolds and both Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland as Spider-Man. After Deadpool and Wolverine made 1.33 billion dollars worldwide and became the highest grossing R-rated film ever it would be insane for Marvel not to bring these two back. Avengers Doomsday hits theatres December 18 2026. The real question is not if Wolverine is in it. It is how big his role will be.
