It's always so confusing, I feel like my docs and I have been playing a game of guess the dosage, then end up going oh wrong meds these won't help. Then Crohn's is like "psst here's some Bile Acid Malabsorption"

this is actually normal! This happens sometimes. It’s all about finding the right dose. They’ll probably lower your dose or put you at every 6 weeks. You may be tired bc your levels are too high!

They’ll probably have you go back down in dose, but keep your current frequency or keep the same dose but decrease the frequency. The infusions have to constantly be tuned to where your body is at. The great news is that you don’t have antibodies, that means that it’s still a viable option, just might involve some additional tweaking. And sometimes the symptoms don’t match the labs or the medication levels. Biochemical remission (when the labs are all normal) tends to happen before clinical remission (when the symptoms go away). I got to biochemical remission on Rinvoq in May, but still not in clinical remission yet.

Are you also on methotrexate or azathioprine? It was offered to me when I was first diagnosed but I was unable to take it as I was breastfeeding my baby and I needed to immediately start meds. It was too late when I weaned the baby and I already had high antibodies.

Have you had your auto immune markers checked ? Iron levels? Thyroid? You could have more going on if your Crohn’s is under control.

Dealing with much of the same. I’m finding more and more that good days/ bad days are entirely dependent on what I eat. I can feel perfectly fine. And if that’s the case, pushing it with a “danger zone” food once is ok. But if I keep with it without a week break? Body is pissed. 🤣

I feel like this a lot so it’s not only you. It’s me too. I’ve been diagnosed with UC for four years now and it’s just crazy. I do feel like my body does gaslight me a lot.

May I ask where in your Crohn's disease do you have it: in the stomach, small intestine, or large intestine?
