@featuredinflorida: Apparently my husband thinks lunch counts as a paycheck. 😂 A few weeks ago, Carlos convinced me to help him with the lawn business after a LONG day working outside. So when it came time to pay me, this man said, “I’ll buy you lunch,” and took me to El Ranchito off Kass Circle in Spring Hill. At first I was like… absolutely not. I’m your wife. PAY ME. 😂 But after a really good lunch together, I decided I’d accept it as payment… this time. We’ve actually eaten at El Ranchito a few times, so here’s what we thought: Carlos got the carne asada with steak, onions and peppers, rice and beans. He gave it an 8.5/10. The steak was seasoned really well, although he wished the rice and beans had come out a little hotter. I went with a combination platter so I could try a little bit of everything. The pork tamale was definitely my favorite. The pork had great flavor, but the enchiladas and taco weren’t really my thing this time, so overall I’d give my meal about a 7/10. BUT… Horchata? 10/10. Chips and queso? 10/10. Service? 10/10.
