The average person has more leisure time than any other time in history. We're not doing sixteen hour shifts down the local mill anymore. The hours devoted to a hobby are usually spent Doom scrolling or watching Netflix. That's what changed.

That’s hard when I’m 26, trying to go through the electrical program to become an electrician but I’m getting swamped with book work to the point I’m stressing out and having mental breakdowns trying to figure out how to get everything sorted so I’m able to retain the information

I used to love going out, I have a sxs I haven’t touched in a year, stopped drinking, lost friends, really just don’t know what I feel like doing anymore, just feel like my flame has burnt out and I really hate that for myself

I hate to say it, but we all have responsibilities that we choose to have. We choose to get married, we choose to have kids, we choose our jobs, our lives. It’s never too late to reroute your direction in life. If you need that time to yourself, you gotta make that time for yourself. If you constantly manifest “my life is terrible, I have no time to myself”, that’s what you’ll get. Make changes that allow you that free time. Or……..be thankful for all that you do have. I used to go to car shows and meets all the time. Then one day I realized, I love cars, but I’ll never own a car like the people at these meets drive. So what’s the point of me going? I’d rather better myself and spend time with my family. Ask yourself what you’re really missing out on. Then think about what you’ve replaced that time with.

it's not that we don't have time, it's that our significant other doesn't support the hobbies whatever they may be so men lose interest in them because it's frowned upon as ridiculous or childish. I stopped doing many hobbies for a long time because I was always told grow up or why do you still do that by friends and significant other. I was lucky enough to find the love of my wife who embraces my hobbies and I have found the joy I lost again in the things I love

This is what Im experiencing now. I worked since I was a child helping my parents, I have a house now and stable job, no car yet, I think with my current salary and monthly obligations I still cant afford it. I was able to buy all the things that I need and want. But it feels like I still need to do something, whenever I see my friends getting a job overseas and getting the life they wanted, I fell like Im stuck. I dont know what to do... I dont want to talk to my mother because I dont want her to worry about me. It feels heavy.
