I think you are conflating drunkenness and having a drink of alcohol. Having a drink doesn’t make you forget. Drunkenness does! Context in the same scripture you just read.

I’m so tired of Christian’s grabbing 1 verse and using it like this. Go look at Ecclesiastes. Go look at Mathew Jesus said drink do not become drunk Peter tells us to remain sober minded. Drinking isn’t a sin drunkenness is.
