@alejayofficial: Mineral sunscreen on darker skin can be a STRUGGLE 😭 especially when you’re trying to avoid that white, ashy cast. I saw @Spencer Hedges try this sunscreen hack and immediately needed to know if it would actually make mineral sunscreen more wearable on deeper skin tones 👀 Because if you have darker skin, you already know finding a sunscreen that actually works with your complexion is a whole different experience. Would you try this? #sunscreen #sunscreenhack #sunscreen #sunscreen #sunscreentip @Spencer Hedges
Why does that sunscreen have such poor spreadability? 😭

Something is not blending nicely with you sunscreen. Maybe it is your skincare? It shouldn’t separate when you blend it out

mixing makeup with your sunscreen is a huge no no. rather than forcing yourself to use a mineral sunscreen, why not just use a chemical sunscreen that’s not going to leave a white cast?

Not supposed to mix anything with sunscreen because it changes the potency and the integrity of the formula

Sunscreen shouldn’t be mixed with anything. If an white cast an issue, use a chemical sunscreen or put some tinted moisturizer on top. Or use a tinted sunscreen

no it's not. you're not supposed to mix ANYTHING in any amount with sunscreen bc you're messing with it's integrity and ability to protect your skin

That’s a big NO. Mixing sunscreen with any product will corrupt the protection. Put, spread, wait, and cover with makeup. The sunscreen with color don’t protect as well as a clear one because you will put less quantity. 😉🫶🏼

No, adding anything to your SPF ruins the formula and then it’s not the same SPF anymore. This is really bad advice if you actually wanna protect your skin, just get tinted sunscreen and instead

It's unfortunate that he would suggest something so irresponsible. You do not mix ANYTHING with sunscreen. Either buy a tinted sunscreen or use a complexion product after the sunscreen has dried.

Sorry can’t mix anything with sunscreen. It can disrupt the film forming abilities. White cast is such an issue but this just puts you at risk. Layering is better if you want good protection

To keep the integrity of the spf I’d recommend just putting makeup on top of it after it’s settled as much as it can. Well actually I recommend a chemical sunscreen but hey

You change the efficacy of the sunscreen when you mix it with anything. Looks so pretty though!
