This would be a great set for a character who's main story is being some kind of treasure hunter. A rogue makes most sense, but I did have a character for a while who was sort of an Indiana Jones-inspiried warlock. Farron's whole thing was being really into exploration, finding historical sites, and uncovering ancient mysteries. On one expedition, however, the leader betrayed him and the rest of the crew, attempting to sacrifice them to an ancient deity for his own power. As he lay dying, the spirit of an ancient warrior offered to protect Farron's life. You see, this was the site where, legend says, a great general lost his entire army to their own folly, however the warrior's spirit is that of the general's second-in-command, who says the general betrayed the crew, sacrificing them on this very spot to the same forgotten God, for his own power. in exchange for the warrior spirit saving Farron's life, the warrior tasks Farron with destroying the general's un-earned legacy. Farron agrees, assuming this would mean spreading the tale of what truly happened.... up until he meets a direct blood descendant of the ancient general, and the warrior possessed him with intent to take out every last member of the ancient general's bloodline. with a couple of millennia having passed, that's a lot of descendants to hunt down, and Farron wants no part in it! The descendants are innocent of their ancestor's crime! Can Farron find a way to escape the pact, or will he leave a trail of red on every island he visits? #dice #dnd #ttrpg #dicegoblin #nat20
