The fact that this show is coming back at all -- AND WITH SEVERAL OG MEMBERS IN FRONT OF -- AND BEHIND THE CAMERA -- is a significant thing. Celebrate it before thinking "it can't top the original, etc." If this were some standard half hour sitcom coming back on NBC, I'd be a little skeptical. But, being on NETFLIX allows it to take on a deeper, more substantial tone than throwing in some laugh track every 5 seconds like formulaic sitcoms on NBC, CBS, or ABC do. Plus, the premise is realistic -- the college or university we went to doesn't just close bc WE graduated -- it goes on and newer classes enter & create their own legacies there. And with everything going on in this country today impacting African-Americans, you can BET this show is going to be a spark for young people just like it was back in the day to get young people to want to go to college. And any great collegiate experience is based on the relationships you forge and connections you make that can last a lifetime -- just like we saw play out with Dwayne, Ron, Whitley, Kim, Jaleesa, & Freddie. A Different World is a treasure in our culture and it's ready to shine again -- I'm HERE for it. Let's SUPPORT IT IN DROVES AND ADD TO ITS LEGACY 💪💪💪💪
