If you have a vacuum sealer, vacuum seal those ice blocks and you wont have to worry about the water leaking as it melts. Then you can reuse them when you get home, too.

All of these things but vacuum sealer will change your life. I also make premade meals and vacuum seal those freeze and then throw on the grill or on the crockpot if you we are doing those type of meals all depends on camping trip. We mostly boat so it’s a black stone. The sealed container perfection but add some individual sealing container to make dips and such by snapwear also game changer. The thicker the ice the longer it lasts so the blocks are perfection. I also learned the fuller the cooler the longer you ice lasts 🥰🥰

I bought a small plastic trash can that fits in my cooler to keep things you don’t want to get wet in. Doesn’t have an airtight lid but still works great at separating things.

You can also use silicone ziplocks - they are completely waterproof!

Why not just empty the ziplocks and reuse them to save on plastic waste?

We freeze water bottles, preferably the smaller ones and they keep things cold and then when they melt, they are ready to drink!

We started saving juice jugs and filling those with water and freezing. They are flatter like your ice blocks but when they melt don’t leave water in the cooler.

I fill up old rinsed out milk containers with water and freeze them. Then as it melts, we have cold drinking water. I also freeze water bottles. My mom’s fridge makes a TON of ice so she usually makes me some too! & I have a counter top ice maker that helps too
