Actually this suggests brakes didn’t fully release during takeoff roll which explains why acceleration was poor and skidmarks appear on liftoff

This plane 787 had quite a few accidents recently . I think issue is quality control. Air India accident was the worst one. And again Boeing will try to put the blame on pilots!

I bet they had a un-commanded partial braking application, when the plane finally had enough airspeed to get some lift the reduction in weight on the gear allowed the friction of the brakes to overcome the friction of the tires on the runway causing the skid marks. If the brakes were fully applied from the beginning the plane wouldn’t have accelerated at all

Newest information about investigation: speed acceleration didn’t increased for 2 seconds (pilots noticed and where concerned), after that acceleration display jumped to higher as the actual V1. The pilots decided not to brake (anymore) but to take off. So the pilots did amazing job avoiding a catastrophe.
