I wish Valve/Steam would invest in making a streaming platform because of how much they care about their customer base and have already pushed back on predatory political pushes and seem super stable and making a decent amount of revenue compared to other companies. I also think because of their knowledge of separating sfw and nsfw games, they can do the same for their streaming site with proper age gating. (Though I do NSFW and enjoy Fansly very much, but I know not all are 18+ streamers and you never want to open up NSFW spaces to minors. Both for the NSFW creators rights being protected and to keep minors safe)

how about this, we train the AI to be good cause one thing we should remember is if we can't stop this then maybe we can change it? teach AI to be like a human that way they develop empathy and sympathy, idk it's just a theroy 🤷♂️

unfortunately if you are a small streamer and actually trying to make a career out of it. you can't feasibly give up the main stream platforms just because none of the other ones are known.

Personally, I'm deciding to make the switch over to both Blue Fan sites. One does give the option to live stream, so it gives me the opportunity to use them as BlueTube and Blue Twitch from what I'm gathering. Visibility & Discoverability will be a bit of a struggle given what their reputations are, but I figure with the right tweaks and setups it's better than staying a sitting duck

I feel like streaming platforms can be split into three groups. Chud Central 3000, Mainstream AI farms and Ghost Town, California. It really feels there isn’t really drive for anyone to prop up any of those smaller services and even if they did, I worry they would turn the same, if they smelled even whiff of mainstream energy.

People tend to forget that YouTube is owned by Google. Google is Pro AI, thus all their products are AI integrated. Its sad, but similar to where do we go if YouTube isnt good anymore, where do we go when Twitch isnt good anymore.

YouTube is tied to Google, Google has their own AI tools. If anyone leaves twitch for YouTube there is undoubtedly more ti it than just eew ai.

oh also big point to say about joystick and OF: at least here in the EU they are rolling out that "identify yourself to watch" stuff so at the very least viewers would need to verify they're 18+ via webcam or might even need government ID

it's the exact same thing with Etsy. Etsy is a horrible marketplace, completely filled with AI and stolen material, but there are no alternatives artists can use.
