I've got a bit more experience with maggots than is reasonable. Japanese POW camps in Malay were brutal and some of the medical technology they applied is out the gate innovation

I’ve been fascinated by it since I learned about it ages ago. I’ve always thought: If I had to then absolutely but they’re probably gonna have to blind fold me and make sure I’m on some really good anti anxiety meds or something because I know my logical understanding wouldn’t override my sensory issues or ability to imagine what’s happening even with my eyes closed. 😅 That said… do you know if they’ve tried to reproduce the secretions that help fight mrsa? Or collect the secretions and use them in some way to medicate without the maggots?
