I’ve never even worked at a restaurant and got fired by a manager. I was picking up a group lunch for a weekly meeting, and when I arrived my order wasn’t in its ususal place (they knew me bc I’d used them for a couple years) I asked, what turned out to be the new manager who just started that week, if they were putting the group orders in a different place. He immediately blew up, told me I was fired and yelled to everyone that if they ever saw me to call the police. Someone said “she’s a customer, (and to me) Your foods in the other room”. Strangely enough, I never saw him again 🙄

I had was interviewing somewhere and during the interview with the main manger I was asked about if I had any future dates coming up that I couldn’t work. I told them I had an out of state wedding. They approved and I was hired. Fast forward to that weekend, I got a handful of missed calls from the assistant manager asking where I was and I was no called no showing. When I called him back and reminded him I was at the out of state wedding but it was our last day so I could come back a little earlier but with travel it would be a few hours depending on traffic before I could get back. He said that he’d appreciate it and would see me for the evening shift. When I showed up he met me in the parking lot and said that a coworker had told him that I was quitting so he “let me go” and I could go home. I questioned him why he’d take the word of a co worker and not ask me about it given that I had just came back early from a pre approved time off? He had literally nothing to say and I left. Then he had even more audacity to call me a couple days later and asked if I would be willing to cover the shift for the same co worker who told him that I quit because he had no called/no showed and it was just him (the manager) and 1 other person there and that he needed help.

Yeah I’ll come in you can sign a contract stating that I will receive triple my rate and have a minimum of six months of work. Then during that six months I would be looking for a better job

last month i went through the worst management experience of my life at the place my bf and i worked at for 7 years. he was unseasonably fired by the new boss of two weeks so i resigned 🙃 the whole story is wild i literally couldn’t believe what was happening

One time I got into a big argument with my boss and there was some yelling so he fired me. Said he would email me my plane ticket home. The next day I woke up and he called asking if I wanted to work. I said yes and got a $12k raise on the spot. I needed the job so I put my pride away. And when I got home 3 months later I got another raise that pushed me into the low six figures. Sometimes everything works out 😂😅

Bosses with anger issues and technology SMH. Once had a manager that was not used to smart phones. One morning he came up to me cuz in my late 20s, I was the youngest by min 10 years working there. average age was 40 - 65. He told me he was complaining about the VP verbally to someone while their text thread was open. He told me he thought he may had sent a voice clip of him calling the VP names, but said he deleted the text. He was under the impression if it wasn't on his phone, that it didn't send. I corrected him. 1 month later the owner fired him. I wasn't surprised at all.

that's the kind of boss that will end up screwing over his whole team or division and when he's the only one left and he gets fired because of it he'll play the victim that or he will actually take down the company with his bull crap I have seen it before happen in real life sometimes they're legit are managers so bad that they will tank an entire company I was the IT guy for one company was screwed over so bad by that idiot that he not only ended up homeless but the company was just gone bankrupt nobody would even buy it for its assets everybody quit because of his bull crap and no one would come back or work there even for a substantial increase in pay or huge salary he was that bad and the only reason it was allowed to get that bad was because he was the owner's brother last I heard the guy is homeless and the ex owner wants nothing to do with his brother
