Through XRPL’s autobridging functionality, a trade between two assets can automatically be routed through XRP when doing so provides a better-quality execution. In simple terms: Asset A → XRP → Asset B This can happen at the protocol level without users manually choosing XRP as the intermediate asset. According to the validator’s snapshot, only 0.16% of DEX trades during the previous 72 hours were using this routing mechanism. That’s the part worth watching. What happens if tokenized assets, stablecoins and institutional liquidity increasingly move onto XRPL — and XRP routing goes from a fraction of a percent to double digits?
