I love it when a doctor tells me to just take ibuprofen and I tell them I only have one kidney. It’s fun to see the little wheels start spinning as they actually have to think of a real treatment plan .

I had a full rotater cuff tear and surgery was done to fix it. Sent home with 4 days of pain med. My step dad had exact surgery also got a MONTH of pain med. Women are treated differently than men unfortunately 😭

one time my wife went to an urgent care for pain. the doctor goes "imma let you in on a secret.... if you take Tylenol with some caffeine, it works so much better!" my wife lives off of coffee and takes both obuprofen and tylenol for pain. as if some homemade amalgamation of midol was this big secret cure all 😤😤

lol I recently had a tooth abscess. er gave me ibuprofen, which I'd already been swallowing like tictacs. but hey, the extraction I had two days later actually did the trick!

in highschool I threw my back out so bad it left me with permanent scoliosis, it was so bad the Dr said if my spine had shifted any more I would have been paralyzed from the waist down. I have nerve damage forever. they sent me home with ibuprofen

Primary care knows I have IBS. I can’t take ibuprofen. She tells me to take 600 mg of ibuprofen. I remind her I have IBS. She tells me that amount shouldn’t bother me. I never went to her again

I went to an ER once and explained I had been taking 400mg of Ibuprohen and 1000mg of Tylenol every 4 hours. They said, "wow that's a lot" then sent me home with instructions to take ibuprophen and Tylenol as needed. 🤷♀️

I got banned from a “no stupid questions” Reddit for asking why doctors can’t admit that Tylenol has been shown to have the same clinical efficacy on pain than tic tacs and it’s all just confirmation bias/marketing 🤷🏼♀️
