@svetlanakellett: How Does a 300-Metre Cruise Ship Moor in the Norwegian Fjords? Right before our eyes, MSC Virtuosa approaches the pier, and the crew begins mooring the enormous cruise ship. One by one, thick mooring lines are sent ashore and secured to the bollards, holding the giant ship firmly in place. Måløy is located on the island of Vågsøy, at the entrance to the Nordfjord. It’s a small, picturesque Norwegian town surrounded by colourful houses, mountains and sea.
