@director.cut3: Some movies just refuse to give you closure, and honestly, it ruins your brain in the best way possible. I’m not talking about cheap twists either. These are 10 films that leave you with one massive, unanswerable question long after the credits roll. Whether the director took the secret to their grave or deliberately left it as a blank page, you'll be arguing about these in the comments. Which one of these drove you the craziest? Let me know. 👇 #movierecommendations #movie #filmtok #letterboxd #hiddenGems
I see tiktok is suggesting the movie The Vanishing from 1993, I would strongly advise that you watch the one from 1988 which is listed on the video

the vanishing tells you exactly what happened and that's the scary part

the vanishing was insanely clear with the answer and motives. like it didn’t even flinch in how straightforward it wants to be.

If you want a answer for the movie "Enemy", read the book "The Duplicated Man" by José Saramago

The Thing video game (which is set after the movie and is apparently canon) shows that Childs was human and froze to death and MacCready survived

Doubt is another great movie that doesn’t give you the answer, you are left wondering along with the main characters

Burning is so good. It’s a movie that really captures that feeling of becoming an adult and being lost, not understanding how you fit in the world. Haunting film.

Another classic one is David Fincher's Zodiac. It couldn't have a resolved ending because the real Zodiac was never positively identified.

TBH, I usually prefer movies that explain endings and have clearly defined endings, but sometimes I really enjoy open ended films that make you think a littler harder to understand what happened. (Donnie Darko and American Psycho are two examples I like)
