What if your thyroid is HIIIGGHHHH, but your t3 is LLOOOWWWWW, and your t4 is OKKKKKKKKK. You have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and it doesn’t matter the dose of your med, it doesn’t fix it so you spend the last 2 years of your life either being hypo or hyper because your thyroid HAAATTTESSSS YOOUUUU. 💀

Oooooh OR TSH, T3 and T4 are low, pituitary is cleared via labs and normal pituitary MRI — tertiary hypothyroidism! At 40 no less 😂 pretty sure I stressed myself into brain damage…

My favorite is the Subclinical hypothyroidism - some to all of the symptoms with lab results that are just at the top of the normal range. Irritating as hell.

I wish all GPs understood this! And that the NHS did a full panel as standard. Ive had an extended hemi 2 years ago, not medicated and have hashimotos.. ive just paid £90 for a full thyroid panel.. so frustrating, that little organ controls so much and seems to confuse the medical world!

They will not test t3, you have to pay privately and then your gp does not understand them.

I was told they will not test T3 on NHS. My TSH was ridiculous over a year ago 126😳 then within range 4 months ago.

I suddenly hyperthyroid following a CT scan with contrast in 2015. I have thyroid nodules. A study I read said that there was a connection between CT with contrast and suddenly hypo or hyperthyroidism. Everything went back to normal after four months.

T3 and T4 always go together? Like both high or both low? (Obvs both can be normal or one normal and the other not)
