@hey.lauranicole: I remember constantly calculating how much I could ask for before I became “that employee.” Can I leave for the doctor appointment? Can I make it to pickup on time? Can I take the day when she’s sick? Can I be a good employee AND the kind of mom I want to be?? And the wild part is, I didn’t want to stop working. I WANTED to work. I WANTED to contribute financially. I WANTED something that was mine. I just needed work that could flex around my family instead of constantly asking my family to flex around my work. ^ That’s ultimately what led me to Virtual Assistant work. Now I get to do work I’m proud of, make an income, AND be the one who decides when i get to be mom. If you’re a working mom wondering if there’s another way to do both, follow along. 🤍 And share this with another mom who you know understands the struggle.
