nah but i got a genuine question: once he touches the notebook ryuk becomes visible to him and shouldn't he have to explain the ruoes to him that very instant? i am asking because if ryuk doesnt appear in front of him right then and there then light gets an advantage and ryuk shows favoritism in that way that should erase him from existence theoretically

gng u only need to watch ONE episode of death note to know how the death note works it isn't instant u have to wait 40 seconds and if u don't write the reason of death he gets a heart attack and u made his throat close even tho he didn't write the cause of death
