have you any experience with the practice of *not asking people follow up questions*? its been a trip hearing folks tell stories im either not interested in, or wouldnt sacrifice my plausible deniability for and often choosing to *not* take their cues to investigate more. theres so much knowing that is totally not… neccacary. at least as far as… randos and their lives are concerned. liberating work. avoiding side quest narratives before they manage to hijack the plot of my own
