@acoupleofburkes: Almost 30 years after Tupac was killed, his murder goes to trial. It's finally reached court. Tupac was 25 when a white Cadillac pulled alongside the BMW he was travelling in with Suge Knight on September 7, 1996. Gunmen opened fire, hitting Tupac several times. He died six days later. Nobody was charged until 2023 when Duane “Keffe D” Davis was arrested and subsequently charged with Tupac's murder. Prosecutors say Davis helped organise the shooting and provided the gun, although they do not accuse him of being the person who pulled the trigger. We may never know. Davis has pleaded not guilty. The case centres partly on an earlier confrontation involving Tupac's entourage and Orlando Anderson, Davis's nephew. Anderson was never charged and was killed in 1998. Now, almost three decades later, a jury will hear the case. About time.
