No sure if it’s the same for Mac, but if you had a separate ssd or just a good ssd in general, you can also make you own folders for the cache to go to so you can make renders fast aswell as you can delete your cache (both media and disk) directly from after effects. Just for those who don’t know! Quick worry tip, don’t be afraid to clear the both cache as you edit, it doesn’t harm your device but most of the time do it when your about to take a break, it really helps!
