Start with the foundation. 🤍 I always build an elevated bed from the bottom up: mattress + mattress pad, crisp sheets, a fluffy duvet insert and cover, then full, lofty bed pillows before adding the decorative layers. I personally prefer a duvet insert + cover over a traditional comforter because it gives the bed a fuller, more elevated look and makes it easy to switch up your covers with the seasons.
