here's a tip for beginners, dont start with donut yet, learn primitive modelling first, then lighting, and then donut. this will help with first step

cant say im an expert, but you made a ton of extra polygons where there didn't actually need to be any. unless you're planning on using these assets later for various other things. if that is the case, ignore me.
