My husband is schizophrenic, but refuses to believe he is schizophrenic and we were staying at my mother‘s house. His delusions were getting worse and he was becoming more increasingly violent so I hit the police button on the alarm system, because I knew that the alarm company would call my mother she would call me and when I didn’t respond, she would tell them to send the police however 15 20 30 minutes later or something like that police still hadn’t showed up and like I was getting fearful to the point. He charged at me so I used a shovel to kind of like push him back and I ran outside. It was cold. I have no coat no shoes, barefoot and left my phone in the house. There was a lineman working on the telephone pole behind my house so I went back there and asked him if I could call 911 which he dialed for me but allow me to speak and the dispatcher told me that that they were on their way and I was like OK so they get there and I’m talking to one officer and the other is talking to him and I just want him removed like this is my mother‘s house. I grew up in this house like leave and I get told that since he has slept there within the last two weeks he receives mail there that address listed on his license his state ID, so therefore, they cannot remove him from the property even at my mother‘s request and I was like wtf I ended up outside at some point because I told him like I specifically said like if I go back in that house he’s going to hurt me and they said they cannot remove him from the property, but if he comes outside and disturbs the neighbors to call them and they’ll come back and arrest him I was like are you shitting me right now but that’s what I had to do. I had to stay outside and wait for him to come outside and start a fight with me in the front yard for them to arrest him. So all that basically told me as this was my first experience with dealing any kind of DV situation ever that he can do whatever the fuck he wants as long as it’s in the house, but don’t you dare bring it out for the neighbor to see because then we have to step in to protect the neighbors from seeing you show your ass.

My ex has been harassing me and the cop told me when I reported his harrassment and stalking behaviours he can say stuff about me too. I was like ok but I’m not breaking the law.

When I was 7 mo pregnant, my ex showed up with several male friends, unannounced, and wanted to take our 14 yr old daughter camping 40 miles in the middle of nowhere. Absolutely not. 14yr girl with multiple 35 yr old men? I wouldn't tell him where she was. He barrelled through the screen door and slammed me against the wall, angry as a hornet. I filed a restraining order immediately. Judge denied it. why? Bc I should have never shared what happened with my 14 yr old daughter and I was being abusive by telling her. For being honest and informative ? yes. Any # of things could have happened to my daughter if I had let her go or he knew where to find her!!!!
