oh i’ve missed posting my chic af recipes you'll need: - 200g unsalted butter - 200g white sugar - 2tsp vanilla extract - 3 eggs - 250g plain flour - 3tsp baking powder - 50ml any milk - 2tsp raw cocoa powder (to serve): - icing sugar - full fat yogurt / crème fraiche method: 1. begin by whisking the butter, 180g of the sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. 2. whisk in the eggs on a low speed one at a time (don't add them all at once as it will curdle easily). 3. once incorporated (it may look a little curdled but that's ok!), add in the flour, baking powder and 3tbsp of the milk and fold through until fully incorporated. 4. spoon 2 thirds of the mixture into a lined 900g loaf tin. 5. now add the cocoa powder, remaining sugar and milk into the mixture left over and fold through until fully incorporated. 6. spoon the chocolate mixture on top of the cake mixture that is already in the tin. 7. using a fork, gently swirl the mixtures together to create a marbled effect (don't over do it!). 8. bake for 1hr at 180c / 160 fan. 9. check after 50 minutes using a skewer and poking all the way through the centre. if it comes out clean, the cake is ready! if not, continue baking. 10. once the cake is baked, remove from the oven and once cool enough to handle, carefully remove the cake from the tin and allow to cool on a cooling rack. 11. generously dust all over with icing sugar and serve whilst warm. 12. slice into thick chunks and enjoy xxx (my marbled effect was not quite as good as my mums so next time it will be better hahaah) this is a slightly altered version of paul hollywoods! #chic #cake #EasyRecipes #marblecake #yogurt
