Bus driver here, some school buses are contracted by certain bus companies like mine. My bus company I work for is in charge of all the schools in the town. If the school complains it goes back to dispatch. You a parent calls dispatch the driver will hear about it and get in trouble

As someonw who dad is a bus driver and the bus manager for school district in my town someone get dropped off at 5:30pm when there drop off 3:17 is crazy. I would call the bus company and talk to them about this.

A lot of reasons for this 😅 lack of bus drivers cause routes to be combined and often buses run all 3 schools and with students management and traffic combined there's no telling how late a bus truly can be 😅 it looks good on paper in theory buuuuuut in practice it's often impossible

In highschool the bus didn’t pick me up from school until 4pm- we got out at 3 and I also got dropped off at school at 7:15am and school didn’t start till 8:30

call the bus company that controls the routes and let them know there's a problem with the timing and depending on the time the kids get out of school and the number of kids they have to drop off it can take time for them to get thru the route

My kids school division has a transportation office which is who we deal with for our buses. We don’t deal with it thru the schools. Both of my kids are bus riders for JR and SR high. In Alberta Canada.

In order to get my kids out on time to make it to gymnastics I had to be in the car line like an hour ahead of time. If you got there later you were way back and it would take 45 minutes to get out of the line

when i was in kindergarten, my dads cousin who’d watch me after school always waited in front of our house for whenever the bus dropped me off. The bus driver knew that. One day, he wasn’t there. I was afraid to get off the bus so i didn’t get up. Then some student on the bus said that i get off there. So i did. i said my uncle was supposed to wait for me and she told me to get off the bus. drove off the moment i was off. i tried the front door and the back door, both locked. so i went back to the front and yelled for help. a sweet old man a few houses down walked me back up to my house (i’m literally sobbing atp) and asks me my name and what’s going on, so i tell him and then that’s when my uncle drives up the street. he thanked that man and we went inside. told me i was smart for trying the back door. My mom called the school because i was 5 and they should’ve just taken me back to the school, and the school gave her the bus company’s phone number, who then said it wasn’t their fault. which in a way is true, but the bus driver knew someone was supposed to be there and i didn’t know why they weren’t and just left me there.
