So wouldn’t these be closer to oil pastels? I thought true oil sticks didn’t have any wax in them, which is what allows them to cure completely like oil paint

PLEASE BE CAREFUL oil paint contains HEAVY METALS and nasty CHEMICALS and heating them may not be a good idea, read what ingredients each colour has first. If you try this don't reuse the cooking ware for cooking or eating food again, clean thoroughly, don't use a microwave you're gonna use later to cook food, USE A MASK AND GOOGLES and do it in a very well ventilated area! Not all brands have replaced toxic pigments from their ingredients, please read about famous painters who developed serious illnesses derived from painting, from ingredients like lead and cobalt, like Goya and Caravaggio. Stay safe!
