That’s a battery isolator, they’re supposed to be tied to ignition switch only to connect and disconnect the batteries on startup. But it’s supposed to be ignition relay not the ignition BCM wire 😭

Battery isolator and looks like they were using ignition signal to isolate the audio/pump which ever when they would start the truck

Read up why we use flyback diodes on relays, that's what caused that solenoid relay to nuke the bcm.

That’s a battery isolator behind the seat. The wire is the exciter. Likely too much draw on that circuit.

Need help gearheads 2012 f250, has a ce light. unfortunately I get no communication. I have grounds on pins 4 and 5 however pin 16 only shows 2 vots. I've checked fuse and its good,. where should I look to next to sort the power issue.

Looks like a relay for a power inverter maybe to power it when the engine is on and switch off when van is off.

My Monday started and ended with nothing, literally all four jobs I went to were find fault codes but couldn’t duplicate complaint. The last one for today was verified complaint then the bastard starting working and I spent two hours trying to reduplicate it 🤬🤬…I love my job 🤣🤣

it's a switching relay... get rid of cap they are useless.... get rid of relay only need if he has separate battery for audio system
