UPDATE: Troubled Ugandan TikToker Benitah, who calls herself “Benitah Madam Violence” aka Benitah Nakabugo, has reportedly returned to the country after losing her job in Bahrain amid allegations that she faced online bullying, which allegedly tarnished the image of the company she worked for. We have reliably learnt from trusted sources that Benitah had initially refused to return to Kampala, reportedly because of what she considered empty promises. However, she later changed her mind after NRM party official Kisakyamukama reportedly flew to Bahrain, where he allegedly assured her that if she agreed to return to Uganda, she would be taken to State House to meet President Museveni, receive financial assistance, and possibly secure a government job. After weighing her options, sources say Benitah eventually tendered her resignation at the coffee company and returned to Uganda. She is reportedly staying at a hotel in Kampala under the protection of UPDF commandos as she awaits a planned meeting with President Museveni. Reports further indicate that Kisakyamukama, who has long been vocal in his criticism of the opposition, wants to use Benitah’s case to demonstrate that NRM is not the “bad government” portrayed by some Ugandans living and working in exile.
