Recommend bringing rain coat/waterproof outer layer pants. Mid-layer zip ups are key. Bring at least 1 zip up. I went to Iceland and decided not to bring a mid-layer and regretted it.

We stayed a few nights at a horse farm (on Golden Circle) and rode the Icelandic horses and they are amazing. They have an extra gate so they are so smooth when they trot (not even sure what that means lol). A MUST when you go. We also saw northern lights from there.
