I visited nyc a few weeks ago and I was really surprised with how many people were very nice and respectful everywhere. Where I’m at in Northern VA, a lot of people aren’t like this.

Take it a step further. For “staff” that has worked for wealthy families/people for decades….. if you disrespect them or look down on them, you’ll never be invited ever again. They treat their long term nannies, housekeepers, assistants like family.
