We combined ideas from a few different tutorials and then mostly figured it out as we went. 😂 It definitely wasn’t perfect, but that was part of the fun. It turned into a whole family project, we learned some new skills, and she got to help make something for her own Ren Faire costume. 💜 🌸 MATERIALS + WHAT WE PAID • 6 blue felt sheets — $0.69 each • 6 purple felt sheets — $0.69 each • 4 green felt sheets — $0.69 each • Green pipe cleaners — $1.50 • 12-pack straight floral wire stems — $4.50 • Ribbon — $6 • 8 acrylic paint colors — $0.80 each • Paintbrush pack — $7 • Hot glue gun + glue sticks — already had • Sewing machine + thread — already had • Scissors • Wire snips • Cardboard for the petal and leaf templates — we used an Amazon box 😂 💰 TOTAL: About $30 for the materials, or around $37 including the new paintbrushes. If you’re starting completely from scratch and need things like a glue gun, glue sticks, needles and thread too, I’d budget around $50. This is definitely a project you can customize with different sizes, shapes and colors! She loved it, it survived Ren Faire, and I’d call that a win.
