I used to sit on my bed, holding a little baby boy outfit, that hung empty in my arms. Nearly a decade battling infertility. I now sit on my bed, that little boy is sitting next to me. He just asked me, why are you crying mommy? “Because I’m really happy buddy, and sometimes we cry when we are really happy.” 💙

I once wished for a man who thinks I am the greatest thing that's ever happened to him. I prayed for babies to call me mommy. I got the man, I got the babies, just one is in heaven. And even though he is the greatest loss of my life, I would do it all again because he is still one of my greatest accomplishments in this world.

Little kid me would leave our tiny 1 bedroom apartment in the bad part of town to swim at my parents friends house, a 3 bed, 2 bath with a pool in the backyard. I wished someday I could be rich so I could live in a (honestly very middle class) house like that. This month I celebrate 17 years in this house, about a mile from that house, with my own pool, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Thank you for reminding me about little me's dream. shes living it. 🩷
