I think it’s a neurodivergent thing in my case. I’ve always hated people watching me for looking ugly and sloppy, or looking too good (like hair, makeup, outfit on point). I don’t know if I’m pretty or not I just don’t want attention. It makes me uncomfortable. Even if I arrive somewhere and people hype me up for looking good im like NO. STOP.

Now that I’m a fat dumpy mom I have way more pleasant interactions out in the real world. Women are far nicer to me, men seem more comfortable, everyone just seems to accept my existence without question or comment and it’s been FREEING. I’m actually reluctant to get fixed up because I don’t miss that feeling of eyes on me whether admiring or critical.

Try to think of what you’re thinking when you look at other people. Maybe you like their shirt, or their hair is cute, etc. maybe there’s no ill intent when they’re looking at you. Try to think of it that way. That’s what I do at the gym cuz it used to freak me out lol

I always say if you ever feel ugly, take yourself to the gas station & you’ll be looked at and hit on to the nth degree. I think everyone thinks everyone is looking/thinking about us but they’re usually thinking about themselves

i was recently cat called sitting at a red light 😭😭 so i feel you girl, i acted like i couldn’t hear a damn thing 😂 and then thankfully he saw i’m engaged and he stfu 😂 longest red light ever

Very valid!! I always was looked at with either admiration or hate when I was younger. I didn’t realize how much until now that I’m older and I’m not even noticed. Pretty privilege is a real thing! Love it as long as you can!! 🥰

Being pregnant has made this ten times worse. I get stared at everywhere I go. even my husband noticed it the other day. He said the cashier was just staring at me the whole time we were checking out. I’ve gotten so used to it I didn’t even notice ;-;
