My 5lb Yorkie is neither lazy or jobless! He spends the majority of his day, running from window to window, door to door, keeping an eye on everything to make sure the property is secured. He accidentally escaped from the house one day, and I never saw a dog move faster than he did. His mother must have been a greyhound and his father must have been in the Olympics at some point racing with the best of his human competitors. Plus, he enjoys his long walks and meeting other people and dog friends. Plus, I’ve never seen another dog sleep as soundly as he does. A few times I very quietly lifted his body from the bed and he had no idea that I had lifted him. He was as limp as an overcooked piece of spaghetti. I put him down gently and he never opened an eye. All that running around during the day with such short legs, surely takes a toll on this little sprinter. This is one little Yorkie that takes his job in “Home Security”extremely serious during the day, at night? …………..not so much.
