Don’t wait until kidney problems develop before you start protecting them. 🚬 1. STOP SMOKING – Smoking can damage blood vessels and increase your risk of kidney disease. 💊 2. STOP ABUSING PAINKILLERS – Frequent or excessive use of medicines such as ibuprofen and other NSAIDs can damage the kidneys, especially when used incorrectly. 🧂 3. STOP EATING TOO MUCH SALT – Excessive sodium intake can contribute to high blood pressure, which can damage the kidneys over time. 🥤 4. DON’T MAKE SUGARY DRINKS YOUR MAIN DRINK – Regularly consuming large amounts of sugary drinks can contribute to obesity and diabetes, both of which can increase kidney disease risk. 💧 5. DON’T CONSTANTLY IGNORE THIRST – Your fluid needs vary, but becoming repeatedly dehydrated can put stress on your kidneys and increase the risk of kidney stones. 💊 6.
