@seanjpan: Your nicer car might be keeping you broke. I still drive a 2015 Toyota Corolla even though I can afford something much nicer. For me, a car has one main job: get me from point A to point B. Spending tens of thousands more for a nicer interior or a few extra features just doesn’t make me happier enough to justify the cost. And that extra money has an opportunity cost. Instead of putting it into a car that loses value and that I’ll probably get used to after a few weeks, I’d rather invest it in something that has the chance to grow. There’s nothing wrong with buying a nice car if that’s what you genuinely value. I’d just rather build my wealth first. What do you think?
