Yeah Steve McNair made his debut at the red river classic against Grambling State University in Shreveport. In the second half of that game, Steve McNair took over as quarterback and the rest is academic. I was there from Steve McNair beginning. Going into his junior year when they would pick who’s probably gonna win the SWAC the critics would say Steve McNair returns. We beat our biggest rival JSU four straight years when McNair was at Alcorn State
