you could try making it yourself and see just how much it cost in comparison

Go to tractor supply and buy 4health. Much cleaner ingredients and healthier for animals. It’s worth the money

Purina is garbage. All grain and chemicals. Open Farm is what I changed to. My dog was eating that exact food you have. Big difference in everything with my dog. Worth every penny. Better food. Less vet bills.

Do you have a Costco near you? This is what we’ve been feeding our dogs for years and it was recommended to me by my best friend who worked at a vet office for several years. Only $34 for a 40 pound bag I believe.

Purina pro is DOCTOR recommended and approved from a vet tech! Inflation hits everything at some time but as long as he’s on the puppy formula of what’s within your budget he’ll be fine :)

Purina pro plan is NOT good stuff. at all. learn to read ingredients on back of kibble bags. you'll be surprised at all the crap added. raw is great or home cooked food. if kibble...diamond naturals...fromm..zignature limited ingredients. start with cooling proteins. join raw feeding groups.

the prices have become SO crazy for even decent quality dog food... that we started making it in bulk ourselves. we spend a day about once every 3-4 months making even better quality dog food in bulk, then freeze small portions and then just pull it out as needed. The quality is so much better than what we could ever buy in a bag, and we save so much money by doing it this way! Also, our dog is now healthier than ever (tons of the health issues went away when we started making the food ourselves). It's of course a pain in the butt, but definitely worth it for our wallets, furry besties, and peace of mind in the long run! hope that helps, you guys are great dog parents. 🙏

Dog food is not the best for him. Look into raw feeding.

Just cook them chicken, white rice, and vegetables and then add just a little bog food but mostly chicken rice and small amount of vegetables can but snacks in there like livers or blueberries every once in a while . It’s cheaper and you know your babies eating healthier

Canadian who spends $400 (thankfully bimonthly) between two dogs and two cats (on vet food). Was way less for the same pre covid. That’s not even the wet food or the treats.
