@rambokelsey: Replying to @Sj here’s a video on how I made the designs on excel. I feel like I’m exposing myself a bit with my borrowed inspiration 🫣 but I’m not one to gatekeep! #tilemosaic #tilefloor #tiledesign #exceltricks
Is there a reason you're not using something like Aseprite? unless this is just some excel power user doing excel shit for the meme, I don't really get why you would do it this way.

You could also use the cross stitch/needlepoint website Stitch Fiddle 😊

If you put a unique letter in each colour square then you can ask your spreadsheet to count the quantities of each tile so you know how much to buy

I always ask my self....
how did people get stuff done before excell?
95% of my work is on it.
i budget using it
i make lists in it
and I'm really bad at using it but still can't function without it.

You don't need to type that many numbers, 1, 2 is enough and it will continue the pattern of +1

this is incredible, and you've already done all the set up work, but she's right stitch fiddle will do this much easier.

I'm a cross stitch girl and use pixel stitch or floss cross for my patterns. I mean it's like exel but automatically and you can just drop your desired pattern / say how many colors and so on. Maybe try that out, I mean it's absolutely the same but without you doing the job

You could use conditional formatting so if you put a letter (or number) the tile will automatically change to that colour 😁

Please let me nerd out for a minute. I set rules for cells to be highlighted. Then I have to make different equations that results in the cell turning the color that I want. It’s a math puzzle that results in art. The look on people’s faces when I try to explain this hobby gives pity and boredom but it makes me happy.

instead of using paste to put each color in each cell you can double click on format painter (the little paintbrush) and then you can just click each cell for the color you are working on.
