I think people forget (or don’t know) that Hekate was originally a goddess of light. Witchy circles make her this dark, cthonic entity when for the majority of her existence she was a guardian and torchbearer. The dark, magical, and necromancy associations came later and stuck (and modern witches seem to fixate on this aspect).

LMAO I work with Lilith (or the spirit that represents her since shes based on an old mythos and certain ideas, not just Judaism), and so many people are afraid to work with her because of fear mongering (mostly because of the belief of her being a demon, though shes not always in every cultural iteration. Many used her as a scape goat for their own problems). If you arent working deeply with her, shes not going to curse you for fucking up, unless you intentionally piss her off. Shes protective, and has the powers to help with sexual strength and confidence, as well as fertility. I dont know much about heavy worship risks, but I know shes mostly safe to work with if you are careful, just like any goddess or entity.

My theory behind the threefold law is it means something else and I think it applies to a lot of stuff. If you have mind, body, and spirit then whatever you do with one can effect all three, you have a lazy day, then maybe you don’t eat healthy, and then maybe you have some negative thoughts that run through your head like “wow I feel like a turd for not doing anything today,” and then in turn your spirit maybe is a little dimmer that day. Idk it was just a random thought I’ve had, instead of it being so literal as if you do something bad 3 bad things will happen

Girl I got hexed a couple weeks ago. I felt extra off, so I ruled out the mundane and purchased a negative energy removal from my favorite girly on Etsy who's a fucking absolute queen and took care of it. Hell yeah I panicked. I always wondered about the moldavite claims. I didn’t think they were really that warranted because it depended on where you are at in your life and spiritual practices. Plus, it’s expensive! That’s the only reason I never got any for myself. Otherwise I find it a beautiful coloured stone.

my belief (and it hasn't failed me yet) is if someone "curses" or "hexes" you, and you brush it off and give it no thought, it won't work. if you reject the idea of their curse/hex, it won't have any power over you.

thank you for mentioning the threefold law isnt even initially Wiccan! it's my BIGGEST pet peeve because early Wiccans ABSOLUTELY did baneful work and the earliest form of the threefold law, found in Gardners NOVEL High Magic's Aid was that the witch should do three times the good back to someone who did good to them, and thus the opposite is very much true
