I can’t prove it but if feels like we’re being forced by men to be ashamed of our own bodies. Just not directly. It’s like they’re using a specific group of misogynistic trans women(if they were raised as boys in the manosphere than they can absolutely be misogynistic) to separate us and then make us feel like we can’t discuss our bodies with each other. I just feel like it was planned and I feel gaslighted.

We had people in Sweden deadass get offended when there was a healthcare campaign to get gen z women to get the pap smear for free, because they addressed it to “women” and not “people with uteruses”. If we can’t even call women’s healthcare what it is, how are we supposed to adress the misogyny in how underfunded and under-researched women’s healthcare is? It’s an intentional erasure of women. If you can’t define woman, then you can’t define or address misogyny and discrimination against women. It’s an attack on our rights and public existence.

Saying that your menstrual cycle means anything about who you are as a person inherently IS bioessentialism. Yes. Does pooping making who you are a person? What about blinking? It’s a bodily process. Not a personality trait. To act like it has some inherent effect on you IS bioessentialism. We are not born with any trait predetermined simply because of our biology.
