For a state, that is a public scandal involving money and questioning not only the actions of the police but also the medical staff. This happens more often than you think: cases left unsolved or rushed, and innocent people in jail.

Since Patrick had his Apple Watch with him when he went to CVS, wouldn’t it have recorded his steps and movement during that time? Do we know if investigators ever looked at his Apple Watch/Health data to see how many steps he took, when he was moving, or where he might have been during that timeframe? I’m curious whether that data could help account for his movements before he was seen entering CVS.

One of the biggest things that bothers me is the question of motive. What was Lindsay’s motive? It’s hard for me to understand because she wasn’t trying to escape and start a new life, find another man, get remarried, or build some future without the kids. From what we’ve seen, she herself didn’t even want to live anymore. Her life was essentially over regardless of the outcome of the trial. That’s why, to me, the only thing that seems to explain the tragedy is the severe depression and psychosis she was experiencing, not some desire to move on and live a different life..

Her phones were taken as evidence on the 24th and phones and devices are put into airplane mode or switched off once seized to prevent remote access to phone and possible scrambling of data/contents. At least in the uk they are and can’t imagine it being any less likely in the US. So then once watch taken a few days later and processed it could only be data from watch activity, no?

I'll have to see if im right, but of the data is coming from the watch or phone, it's two sets of data because of the sync (right?). but if it's from phone only, because watch isn't in use, wouldn't there be only one set of data from the phone because there is no sync with the watch. just asking a question, I dont know the answer?

My question is, if they collected everything, minus the watch, how was anything collected from the phone or the watch the following day if she was in the hospital without either? I get that the police siezing of the phone and that could have counted for some steps and activity off the phone, but not that much

three kids. A five year old, a three year old, and a baby. Exercise bands around their necks. And the internet's first instinct is to ask how she's doing. Cora was five. She was old enough to understand what was happening to her. She watched her mother come for her. And thousands of women read that story and their first thought was "but the medication though". No. Stop. A woman wrapped exercise bands around a baby's neck. An eight month old. Callan couldn't crawl away. He couldn't say stop. He couldn't do anything. And the comment section says "this poor lady is very sick she needs psychiatric care". POOR LADY? The poor baby needed to not be strangled by his mother. And then, THEN, these same people turn around and attack the father. The man who walked into a house full of blood and dead children and called 911 begging his kids to breathe. That man. They're mad at THAT man. For what? For surviving? For not dying alongside them? For daring to find someone who loves him after the worst thing that can happen to a human being? He forgave her. He publicly defended her. He said she wasn't a monster. He raised money for her. And they're dragging him for remarrying. What was he supposed to do? Build a shrine and stop existing? He gave that woman more grace than any human being has ever earned and the public response is "how dare he move on." And they know, they KNOW, that if a man had done this, there would be no sympathy campaign. There would be no op eds about how the system failed him. There would be no comment sections saying his wife should have known. He'd be Timothy Jones. He'd be Chris Watts. He'd be a monster, sentenced in two hours, case closed. Nobody would write "this poor man is very sick". Nobody would blame the mother for going to the store. The double standard isn't subtle. It's not hidden. It's right there in plain text and they still can't see it because seeing it would break something they need to believe about themselves, that their empathy is universal, that their compassion is principled, that they care about victims. They don't care about victims. They care about women. The three actual victims in this story are children.
